Moroccan Tiles Top Finish

After lots of futzing around making the half circle units for each block, I finally finished the top. The half circles are appliqued, and I find applique frustrating because there are so many methods and ways of doing it. It's hard to know which one will work best or be the easiest for the required job.

I tried the Freezer Paper/Spray Starch Method , but it just took too long, and I kept burning my fingers with the iron! So then I tried the Tinfoil Method, but my circles had weird points and weren't very smooth. My last attempt was the good old Interfacing Method, which has served me well in the past. Once I figured that out, everything else was smooth sailing.
